Nick Fuentes is among the most prominent white supremacists in the United States, a figure who has used online media, organized events, and political networking to mainstream explicitly racist and antisemitic ideology. Unlike many extremist figures who cloak their views in euphemism, Fuentes has been direct in his promotion of white nationalism, his denial of the Holocaust, and his advocacy for a racially defined vision of America. His Holocaust denial has been explicit and repeated. Fuentes has made statements minimizing the murder of six million Jewish people, using mockery and comparison to trivialize genocide. The November 2022 dinner at Mar-a-Lago, where Fuentes dined with former President Donald Trump alongside Kanye West, represented a remarkable moment in the mainstreaming of white supremacist access to political power. Regardless of the circumstances of the invitation, a known Holocaust denier and white supremacist sat at the table with a former president of the United States. The incident forced a national conversation about the proximity of extremist ideology to political power and the failure of gatekeeping mechanisms that should have prevented such a meeting.
Fuentes's organizational activities extended his influence beyond social media. The America First Political Action Conference provided a structured gathering for white nationalist activists, attracting elected officials and political figures who lent legitimacy to the event by their presence. The Groyper movement he led conducted organized harassment campaigns against conservative figures deemed insufficiently extreme, using coordinated disruption to shift the boundaries of acceptable discourse rightward. Fuentes was banned from every major social media platform, but the infrastructure he built -- the conferences, the movement, the political connections -- demonstrated that deplatforming alone could not contain the influence of a committed organizer with an ideological base.
